Manuel Lorenzo Sanchez is wanted for the murders of Maria Rosaria Montes Dorantes, 23, and her brother Juan Angel Montes, 16, whose bodies were found on the shoulder of Interstate 85/985 in Gwinnett County, Georgia on August 27, 2023. Sanchez, described as a family friend, allegedly shot both siblings early that morning.

Circumstances of Offense:
Sanchez was a friend of the family and someone Rosaria trusted. Police believe he shot and killed Rosaria and her brother right on the side of the highway sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday morning. By 7:30 p.m. Sunday, a passerby found their bodies in the grass. Their deaths happened along I-85 at the split with I-985. Police said the shooting was not random and that the suspects knew the siblings.
Additional Details:
Sanchez had a prior arrest for domestic violence. Court records indicate that an co-defendant, wanted for tampering with evidence was arrested in May 2025. Sanchez could be anywhere by now and may be using an alias. April 2026, the case remained active and Sanchez was still a fugitive, according to court records.
