Family last saw Johanna November 13, 2023 and reported her missing from the Fort Ross area by Sonoma County Sheriff's Office. She was reported to be on foot and without a cellphone. Her missing person bulletin listed concerns of dementia but family questions those reports. She was missing for a week before located deceased. On November 20, 2023, Johanna was found deceased according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office. A search and rescue team, with upwards of 60 people looking for her, located her on a property near her home.

Additional Details:

Family reports that she had troubling people living on her land and she asked them to leave. It took years to get them out and there were indications they threatened her life and were stealing from her. As a result, family is concerned about the circumstances of her death.
