On Saturday, August 19th, 2023, Lamont Slaughter was gunned down in the front yard of his northeast Omaha house. He had just arrived home from getting groceries for his family. At the time Lamont was killed, his young children were jumping on the trampoline and were nearly missed by the errant bullets fired their direction.
