Missing From:
Houston, Texas
Summary:
Rafael Antonio Hernandez-Gonzalez is wanted for the capital murders of his employer, 45-year-old Josue Geovanni Argueta Giron, as well as Rafael’s own daughter, 21-year-old Wendy Guzman.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities allege that Rafael shot Wendy in their apartment while Wendy was getting ready for work. Less than a hour later, Rafael drove to another location and allegedly shot Josue to death. Rafael was charged with capital murder because the homicides took place in a short amount of time. An interview with one of Wendy’s relatives revealed the disturbing truth about how her father was obsessed with her. Rafael was so jealous of his daughter that he prevented her from socializing with others without him present. It is believed that Rafael was in love with Wendy. Wendy had reportedly told friends that she thought her father would kill her. Rafael is believed to have fled to possibly either Atlanta, Georgia or his native country of El Salvador. An article from March of 2024 mentioned that authorities had no solid leads on Rafael’s whereabouts. As of this posting, Harris County’s court records database shows that Rafael has an active capital murder warrant and is not in custody.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Rafael’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Houston at 713.222.TIPS (8477). Rafael should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Wendy and Josue’s families can get justice and answers in their loved ones cases.
