Case Disposition:

Martin Perez Jr was arrested in Nayarit, Mexico on October 9, 2025! Using multiple aliases did not outsmart the investigative work done by the U.S. Marshals Service and Mexican authorities. He has been extradited to California. https://rivcoda.org/news/fugitive_apprehended

Summary:

Martin Perez is wanted for the attempted murder of a Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities say that a motorcycle deputy attempted to stop Martin for a traffic violation. Martin failed to yield and drove onto a dirt access road. Martin then allegedly fired gunshots at the deputy who thankfully was not hit. Law enforcement did a search of the area but Martin evaded capture. As of this posting, Martin’s attempted murder of a peace officer case in Riverside County’s court records database is in warrant status. There have also been no filings since the warrant was issued in May of 2024. This confirms that Martin is still at large.

Additional Details:

Anyone with information on Martin’s whereabouts should visit https://mobile.catapultems.com/riverside-county-sheriff/jurupa/Report to submit an anonymous tip to the Jurupa Valley division of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Martin should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that there can be justice in this case.
