Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities say that Bryson and a co-defendant drove to the location where the victims were sitting on a front porch. Bryson then allegedly opened fire on the group of people with a rifle, killing Korie, wounding a second victim and nearly hitting the other individuals who were on the front porch. Bryson has since been indicted for first-degree murder, four counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property, and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. In October of 2024, Savannah Locklear was arrested for her alleged involvement in the crime. As of this posting, Bryson is on the Kinston Police Department’s Most Wanted website. The department posted on their Facebook page on July 2, 2025, reminding the public that Bryson is still at large.
