The victim, Julian Medina-Alvarez, 25, and suspect Jose Luis Bautista, 26, lived at the same house. According to witness statements, Bautista pushed Medina-Alvarez out of the back door and stabbed him in the chest with a knife multiple times. Medina-Alvarez managed to run to neighboring residences for help before collapsing from his injuries. Emergency responders transported him to Ohio State University East Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. on the same day. The cause of the altercation remains unclear.
