Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Waid Robison was involved in a single vehicle accident around 6:30 am on 4/21/2024 on Hwy 80 near FM 460 (Clements Dr). He called a co-worker to pick him up at a nearby business but never made it to the planned meeting location. Waid was wearing a long sleeve gray shirt with yellow lettering 'Practical Lawn Care' and khaki pants. Robison was last seen early Sunday morning when he crashed his purple Pontiac GTO. He was headed to Forney from the skyway and lost control and spun out back of the car, hit the side wall and pushed the concrete pillars out of the way. Immediately after the crash he called family (BIL) to meet up with him nearby but then never showed up. Footprints show he wandered barefoot through a construction site and to a creek where his phone was found.
Additional Details:
By land, air, and water, the search continued for Robison on Tuesday. For family and friends, another day without answers meant another sleepless night. Dallas Fire and Rescue joined the ongoing search for 22-year-old Waid Robison in Forney, with the operation transitioning from rescue to recovery. Thursday the Forney Police Department called off their recovery efforts after saying they'd exhausted all options. Waid is a beloved son and friend, who is also an Eagle Scout and accomplished baseball player, according to his mom, Diana Robison. Robison's mother, Diana, and grandmother, Sharon, are pleading for any leads that could unravel the mystery of his disappearance since April 21, when he crashed his car on Highway 80. His sister, Katie, waits at home with the hope of his return, while her husband Dillon and a group of volunteers continue searching. Diana continues to call and text her son's recovered phone. 'I don't know if it helps me feel any better just by reaching out,' she told WFAA through tears. It has been a little over a year since Waid Robison went missing, and Forney police said it has exhausted all resources but is still accepting tips and not giving up. Volunteers continue the search for Waid Robison, a Kaufman County man who's been missing for eight months.
