Case Disposition:
That man was Marlyn Samuel Medrano Ortiz. Witnesses told detectives that Medrano Ortiz shot Conejero-Romera after she cursed at him and his associates while they were drinking and then shot Woolett when he tried to intervene. As the interrogation continued, Medrano Ortiz admitted that he had been “burned” by the female several times and that he knew the victims had friends who were members of the 18th Street Gang, MS-13’s main rival. He then said, “I killed them because they were looking for problems.” He claimed that Wollett had assaulted him after Conejero-Romera stunned him.
