Circumstances of Disappearance:
On November 7, 2025, Jerome Hall was last seen by his family leaving the area of 14th Street in Phenix City, Alabama. His family reported him missing after being unable to contact him. When police started investigating, they saw him through camera footage leaving his barbershop on 14th Street, Phenix City at 1am. The police followed his movements through camera as he walked across the pedestrian bridge into Columbus, Georgia. Investigators found surveillance footage showing Jerome walking in Columbus, Georgia at 1:37pm on November 8, 2025. He did not appear to be in any distress, and was observed casually walking along the RiverWalk. This is the last confirmed sighting of him. Jerome was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, gray jacket, tan pants, and white sneakers.
Additional Details:
Mr. Hall was reported missing to the Phenix City Police Department on November 11, 2025. At that time, his information was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as a missing person. At the request of Mr. Hall's family, the Russell County Sheriff's Office has agreed to open a joint investigation of the case. The Phenix City Police Department is working closely with the Russell County Sheriff's Office to develop and follow up on any leads. Family and friends organized a search party on Nov. 22, 2025, near the Columbus, Ga., Riverwalk Splash Pad, but without any results. Initially, it was reported that his red Nissan Frontier was missing, but that has since been corrected. His vehicle was left locked at Central Barbershop on 14th Street the day he was last seen. Central Barbershop on 14th St. in Phenix City has served the community since 1951. In 1982, J.D. Hall bought it, and his son Dennis Hall took over as owner continuing family operation. According to his daughter Amy Hall, her father served in the Navy as a 2nd Class ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) Operator, often flying on helicopter missions to detect, track, and counter enemy submarines. While in the Navy, he worked as a rescue swim diver. Dennis is a father to two sons and a grandfather to five grandchildren. In addition to biking and kayaking, he loves music and books. He gets books for his barbershop based on art and art museums, and writes dedications in them for his customers. Hall was seen in the late-night hours on the pedestrian bridge with two individuals.
