At the request of Mr. Hall's family, the Russell County Sheriff's Office has agreed to open a joint investigation of the case. Family and friends organized a search party on Nov. 22, 2025, near the Columbus, Ga., Riverwalk Splash Pad, but without any results. Initially, it was reported that his red Nissan Frontier was missing, but that has since been corrected. His vehicle was left locked at Central Barbershop on 14th Street the day he was last seen. According to his daughter Amy Hall, her father served in the Navy as a 2nd Class ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) Operator, often flying on helicopter missions to detect, track, and counter enemy submarines. While in the Navy, he worked as a rescue swim diver. Dennis is a father to two sons and a grandfather to five grandchildren. In addition to biking and kayaking, he loves music and books. He gets books for his barbershop based on art and art museums, and writes dedications in them for his customers. Hall was seen in the late-night hours on the pedestrian bridge with two individuals.
