Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

Stephanie Coleman wasn't home the night Kylie went missing, but says she stopped by the house after work and saw Kylie briefly before heading back out. The two communicated via text that evening. 'She goes, I love you, Mama. Goodnight.' I said, 'I love you too, baby girl,' at 9:44 p.m. Her phone turned off at 9:52 p.m. Data was used on her line at 10:37 p.m. Her jacket was left in the driveway. Stuff was packed, her Xbox was gone. And Kylie's family discovered she had purchased a suitcase with skulls on it from a thrift store the day she went missing. She was last seen at 10:52 pm, walking towards Logan Canyon with luggage. The last signal placed her phone approximately three hundred feet from the family's home in Garden City, Utah.

Additional Details:

Sheriff Dale Stacey of the Rich County Sheriff's Office got involved shortly after Kylie went missing. His department is very small, and Kylie is their only active missing person case. Sheriff Stacey alerted a deputy who was closer to the house, who went right over. The sheriff's office then alerted surrounding agencies that Kylie was missing and helped coordinate some drone searches for Kylie. The Rich County Sheriff's Office has received multiple reports of possible sightings of Kylie from different areas, with people thinking they have seen her. According to Stephanie, there was a sighting in Perry, Utah, on Saturday, May 31, just before noon at a rest stop right off of I-15. She believes it was definitely her daughter. Perry is more than an hour south of Garden City by car. According to witness account, Kylie was wearing a wig with long black hair and a beanie, was wearing all black clothing (black sweats, sweatshirts, sweatpants), white tennis shoes, and had the suitcase with the skulls on it. The Sheriff said they've had a few alleged sightings and followed up on every one, with one supposedly in Alabama or Georgia. Pictures were reviewed but determined not to be Kylie, and her mother confirmed it wasn't her. Other possible sightings in Salt Lake City and other areas were investigated, but none of the photos or video were of Kylie. According to her family, Kylie had recently become active on Snapchat and Discord. She reportedly received money via PayPal from unknown individuals, raising concerns that she may have been groomed or lured by someone online. Her mother later said she believed Kylie may have been coerced or manipulated into leaving home. Kylie didn't grow up in Garden City — the family moved to the area in May of 2023. Her daughter has been struggling with mental health issues and was in therapy when she disappeared. She had also been the victim of a crime the previous year. Stephanie has created the Facebook page 'Help Bring Kylie Arellano Home,' to share photos of Kylie and updates on her case. A fundraising event was held in Garden City at Heritage Park on Friday, July 25 at 6 p.m. to raise funds for a reward in Kylie's case. In December 2025, RCSO confirmed that Kylie's information has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). A vigil was held one year after her disappearance, with Kylie's mother stating they have had no leads on Kylie's whereabouts in the last year.
