Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Offense:

On July 28, 2025, at approximately 1:27 a.m., gunfire erupted in the 300 block of Edgewood Avenue (near 349 Edgewood Ave SE), along a popular strip of bars in the historic Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Investigators reported that four individuals—three men and a woman—approached a crowd just moments before shots were fired. The shooting resulted in one fatality and 10 injured victims. An argument allegedly sparked the incident. Authorities recovered an unspecified number of firearms and 34 shell casings at the scene. Multiple bystanders were captured on surveillance footage running for their lives.

Additional Details:

Ze'kevious Zenard Perry is the third suspect sought in connection with the shooting. Two of his alleged accomplices have been apprehended: Rico T. Arnold, 19, was arrested during a Clayton County traffic stop on August 9, 2025, and charged with murder and 10 counts of aggravated assault. Nasir Shakim Williams was arrested on August 24-25, 2026, by FBI Atlanta's Violent Crime Task Force with assistance from Atlanta Police and Sandy Springs Police, also facing charges of murder and 10 counts of aggravated assault. Investigators determined that members of two rival gangs got into an argument that escalated into gunfire. The groups left the area for approximately one hour, then returned and began shooting. The victim was identified as Santos J. Wyatt, 27, a father. Among the 10 injured were seven men and three women between ages 18 and 29, including an 18-year-old who was in critical condition. Perry has ties to the New York City area and is believed to be in that region. He is considered armed and dangerous. The FBI is assisting the Atlanta Police Department with searching for Perry.
