Summary:

Melissa Casias, a 53-year-old woman from New Mexico, has been missing since June 26, 2025. She is classified as a "missing endangered" person by the New Mexico State Police. On surveillance, Melissa was seen shouldering a backpack and wearing a light-colored shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

According to her family, Melissa was last seen on the day of her disappearance after she had dropped her husband off at work and then brought lunch to her daughter. Her daughter became concerned when she returned home and found that Melissa was not there, but her personal belongings, including her keys, wallet, purse, and both her personal and work phones, were left behind. The last confirmed sighting of Melissa was walking alone on State Road 518 in Talpa, near Ranchos de Taos, which was corroborated by a witness and surveillance video. Since her disappearance, hundreds of volunteers and law enforcement officials have participated in searches. The family has offered a reward for information leading to her return, and a GoFundMe page was created to help with the reward. Jazmin McMillen (Casias' niece) provided the following details: “Her work and personal phone were both at home, and both phones had been factory reset. They had been completely wiped. So that was an immediate red flag.”

Additional Details:

Family is also offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her return.
