Michael Dewayne Smith 53, went missing on Sunday Oct 4 2026 around 6:30 pm after launching his 14 foot aluminum jon boat at Dam site Marina on Greers Ferry Lake . He is a avid fisherman but he is not familiar with the water at greers ferry lake. if there were any rocks and stumps wouldnt know where they were at.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
he was launching his boat to go fishing, His truck and trailer were found abandoned at the boat ramp days later. On Oct 5 some of his floating gear ( a black fishing bucket, gas can, and trash bags) was recovered from the water by another boater, but Michael and his boat remain missing.
Additional Details:
Mike or bubba is 6'1' approx 160lbs salt and pepper hair with brown eyes and a beard. last seen wearing gray pajama like pants. Has a visible stoma ( surgical opening) on his neck from a previous cancer surgery , this would make it hard for him to call for help. Still missing is his 14 Foot flat bottom aluminum jon boat. Yamaha outboard motor (estimated 15 to 20 horsepower), missing gear a secondry gas can and a distinct yellow handle paddle . If anyone has any information PLEASE CONTACT 501-362-8143 / 501-362-8291
