Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

Ja'Derrius Minnieweather was last seen on Friday, June 5, 2026, around 2 a.m. in the Ghost Town area of Baton Rouge, Louisiana after leaving a friend's house, 16 year-old girl, on a red and black bicycle. He was reported missing to the Baton Rouge Police Department on Saturday, June 6, 2026. His grandmother, Jawanna Brooks, noted that he had recently started working through a city summer work program at Istrouma High School and was looking forward to receiving his second paycheck, making his disappearance inconsistent with his character of staying in close contact with his parents and grandparents. The Cajun Navy has been searching. Contact Baton Rouge PD at 225-389-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.

Additional Details:

By June 11, 2026, missing person flyers had been distributed across the neighborhood where Ja'Derrius was last seen as his family marked seven days without any contact from him. The Baton Rouge Police Department sought public assistance in locating him. While investigating, the 16-year old girl who he was visiting was questioned. Indecent text messages via TextNow app were found between her and a 50-year old man dating back to September 2025, Maurice Robbia Parms, who has prior arrests for armed robbery and aggravated assault. He was arrested on June 10th for indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor. Parms has a white truck and a black SUV. His truck was seen on camera at the girl's residence for 2-3 minutes before leaving. He is a coach at Istraouma High School.
