Leonard John Fraser, born June 27, 1951 in Ingham, Queensland, was an Australian serial killer convicted of four murders in Rockhampton between 1998 and 1999. He was first sentenced to life imprisonment on September 7, 2000 for the abduction, rape and murder of a 9-year-old girl, Keyra Steinhardt. In June 2003, he was convicted of two additional murders and one manslaughter. Fraser had extensive prior convictions for rape and sexual assault dating to 1972. He died January 1, 2007 at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane while serving his sentences.

Fraser stalked and beat a 37-year-old French tourist to unconsciousness in the Sydney Botanical Gardens, raped her, and caused severe injury. She was unable to conceive as a result. Fresh sperm was found at the hospital.

Fraser was paroled June 19, 1974 and within nine days raped one woman and attempted to rape two others in Sydney. He also confessed to the 1972 rape of the French tourist. His method included twisting victims' arms (his 'calling card'), and in at least one attempted rape, he left his wallet at the scene.

On April 22, 1999, Fraser followed a 9-year-old girl walking home from school, punched her in the back of the head, knocked her to the ground, sexually assaulted her, placed her in his car trunk, drove away, raped her, slit her throat and dumped her body in bushland. An eyewitness saw the abduction and provided vehicle registration; Fraser was arrested within days.
