Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
On December 22, 2025, around 12:17 p.m., officers responded to 4200 Torresdale Avenue and found 20-year-old David Garcia-Morales inside a 2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty towing vehicle. Police said Garcia-Morales, who had been shot in the neck and thigh, was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries on December 26. Police said a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled up next to a white tow truck and opened fire. Williams is also wanted for a second shooting that took place on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Around 7:52 p.m., officers were called to the 2100 block of Knorr Street, where they found 25-year-old Aaron Whitfield suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body inside a tow truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His 21-year-old girlfriend was shot in the leg and survived her injuries. Police said two people were sitting in a tow truck when a silver Honda pulled up alongside it. Surveillance footage shows a silver Honda pulling up beside Whitfield's parked tow truck before two people inside the car fired at least a dozen shots.
Additional Details:
Williams is reportedly the owner of NKW Towing and Recovery, LLC. The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office has approved charges against Williams, including murder, reckless endangerment, and weapons offenses. The department's fugitive task force and U.S. Marshals are assisting in the search for Williams, whose last known whereabouts were in Montgomery County. The U.S. Marshals Service of Philadelphia announced they will join Philadelphia police in the search for Najee Williams, and are offering a $1,500 reward in addition to the department's $20,000 reward. According to court records, 27-year-old Najee Williams had a previous aggravated assault conviction, accused of shooting someone in 2019 while they were driving. Investigators said the violence stemmed from a turf conflict among tow truck drivers. Whitfield Jr. and Garcia-Morales both worked for 448 Towing and Recovery, which is a different company from the one Williams owns. Police are looking at whether these shootings could be part of a larger fight over towing, and whether Williams is connected to the November killing of a tow truck driver.
